สืบเนื่องจากภาวะวิกฤติเศรษฐกิจ รัฐบาลได้มีนโยบายในการกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจโดยหมอบหมายให้กระทรวงพาณิชย์ ดำเนินงานตามโครงการด้านพาณิชย์เพื่อช่วยเหลือประชาชน โดยมุ่งเน้นการแก้ไขและบรรเทาปัญหาความเดือดร้อน ลดภาระค่าครองชีพของประชาชน

กรมการค้าภายในร่วมกับจังหวัดสมุทรปราการจึงได้จัดงาน "มหกรรมธงฟ้า...มหาชน" ขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 28-30 สิงหาคม 2552 เพื่อเพิ่มทางเลือกและกระตุ้นให้ผู้บริโภคในจังหวัดสามารถใช้จ่ายเลือกซื้อสินค้าอุปโภค บริโภคราคาถูก และช่วยลดภาระค่าครองชีพ รวมทั้งภาคการผลิต การค้าขาย และการจ้างงานมีการขยายตัวอย่างต่อเนื่อง

Mr. Kwanchai Wongnitikorn, the Governor of Samut Prakan Province, is seen here at the opening ceremony for the Blue Flag Fair at the parade ground in front of the Provincial Hall. The event is organized by the Department of Internal Trade with the objective to help lessen the burdens of consumers.

The Blue Flag Fair runs from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August and is selling items such as rice, eggs, clothing and other household items at cheaper than normal prices.You will also find ready cooked meals.
