Wat Prodkatatechethram is located in Tambon
Songkanong, Phra Pradaeng District. It is a royal temple of the
third grade built by Phraya Petchpichai during the reign of King
Rama II.
  
(Above left): The
bot is covered by old style Mon roof tiles without chofa or bai
raka on the ridges. Inside, is a bronze Buddha image in the attitude
of Subduing Mara. (Above right): The gables have floral motifs
and are decorated with porcelain plates.
 
(Above left): The
wihan is similar in style to the bot with no chofa on the ridges
which is so typical of Thai temples. Inside is a reclining Buddha
image. Above the windows are rare Dhama paintings in the western
art style. (Above right): The mondop is roofed with elongated
tiles, surrounded by a number of Chinese pagodas which house
Buddha images of different attitudes. There are also four compass
prangs. Inside the mondop is a Buddha image and a mother-of-pearl
inlaid replica of Buddha's footprint.
