This is a video showing a trip on the cross river ferry boat from Phra Samut Chedi Pier (A) to Samut Prakan Pier (B) at the Paknam Market. The trip takes about 10 minutes and costs 3.5 baht for adults. Boats from Paknam take the blue route and then return on the orange route (see map below). However, at low tide they only take the orange route. There are usually at least four boats running on this route so you don't have to wait long. There is a fort on the southern end of the island called Phi Sua Samut fort. This island also has thousands of bats that you can see fly out in the early evening.
